CONGRATULATIONS to Chris Brown on successfully grading to 1st Dan on Thursday 12th January 2012. Chris demonstrated his Black Belt syllabus in front of his Chief Instructor Steve Cook 3rd Dan Bujutsu/Ju Jitsu and Instructors Nick Painter 2nd Dan Bujutsu, Andre' Santander 1st Dan Bujutsu, followed by grading the whole syllabus from white belt through to brown belt, before completing his spirit test. thanks to everyone who turned out and supported him and his uke Joanne Painter. |

Eastern England Bujutsu Association has just held it's 6th Annual Multi Arts Course at Attleborough Sports Hall. The day was attended by over 40 martial artists from the East of England. Steve Cook would like to pass on his thanks to all who attended for making it a great day. CONGRATULATIONS to Dean Frost & Greg Potter who graded to Sho Dan in Bujutsu on the 19th May 2011. This makes Ten Black Belts since the club started six years ago. The grading was conducted by the EEBA Chief Instructor Steve Cook 3rd Dan Bujutsu & Jujitsu under the AWA governing body. Dean & Greg demonstrated the Black Belt sylabus followed by grading the entire system from White to Brown Belt. followed finally by their spirit test. A big thank you to all who turned out to support them on their grading and to their uke's: Nick Painter, Chris Brown, Dave Booth and Amos Sudial. Well Done Guys! |

WAKARISHIN - INTERNATIONAL JUJITSU Course & Competition. On Saturday 14th May 2011 Dave Booth, Greg Walsh & Chris Brown attended the Internationals with Steve Cook. The guys stepped up to the mat for the groundfighting in what was a great competition. All fought well and Greg Walsh came away with the Silver Medal (Nice:)) A big thank you to all the Instructors on the day and Sensei Ian Arbon for our invitation and a great day out. Andre' our 8th Black Belt 7th MARCH 2010

Congratulations to Andre' Santander on Grading to Shodan in Bujutsu. Andre' graded in front of his panel; Shihan Holmes 8th Dan, Shihan Ficnch 6th Dan & Sensei Cook 2nd Dan of the AWA on the 7th March 2010. A big thank you to Shihan Finch for the use of his Dojo and uke's Greg Walsh & Chris Brown. Andre is Eastern England Bujutsu Associations eighth Black Belt, since forming five years ago. As well as his Black Belt in Bujutsu he also holds a Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do and is an accomplished teacher of Muay Thai. He will be teaching Bujutsu weekly, as well as the clubs Muay Thai class, details to follow. |

The EEBA would like to congratulate Sensei Ian Arbon of Wakarishin Ju Jitsu and the BJJAGB on being awarded his 6th Dan by Sensei Terry Parker 9th Dan BJJAGB. Ian was Sensei Steve Cook's first Ju Jitsu instructor and heads the Wakarishin Ju Jitsu Association in Essex. |
Sifu Yap Leong

Sensei Steve has just returned from a visit to London and took the opportunity to visit his first martial arts instructor, Sifu Yap Leong. Sifu Yap Leong was a disciple of the late legendary Grandmaster Chee Kim Thong from Fujian, China. Sifu Yap teaches Shaloin Fist and Five Ancestor Fist styles of Kung Fu in London. Steve visited Sifu Yap at his shop the Shaolin Way in Chinatown and chatted about the good old days. |
