We have just returned from The Metta Centre in Italy following a weeks training with some of the AWA. Our hosts were Jeff & Nicky Sawyer who made us all welcome from the moment we arrived. The week consisted of sessions taught by Shihan Holmes, Shihan Finch, Sensei Sawyer and Sensei Cook. AWA Training Day - 6th July 2008

Some of the EEBA have just returned from The Amalgamated Warrior Arts training day held at Luton. A good day was had by all. Sessions were taught by Shihan Holmes, Shihan Finch, Sensei Wappett and Sensei Cook. The sessions taught included Kararte Kata, Ju jitsu, Kickboxing and groundwork. |
Andre takes Bronze for EEBA 10th May '08

Well Done Andre for taking Bronze in the groundfighting at the Ju Jitsu Internationals. Andre is my first student to attain a medal at international level. This was our first competition Dave, Greg and Andre all entered the same weight catergory collectively winning 7 out of their 10 fights. This is a good result as the middleweight catergory had 30 fighters. Well done guys! |

Some of the EEBA have just returned from SENI 2008. The MMA League are to be congratulated on a great fight card throughout the Saturday. All in all a good day out and a chance to catch up with some old faces and rub shoulders with some new greats too. Thanks to Andre' for driving even though he gave us a scare on the way home. Sensei Steve Cook Grades to 2nd Dan. 22nd. Sept '07

On the 22/09/07 Steve attended his 2nd Dan Grading at Dunstable. The grading was conducted by the AWA governing body with Steve being graded to Nidan by Shihan Holmes 8th Dan Ju Jitsu. A big thank you to Greg for being an excellent Uke, Dave and Nick for moral support and everyone who called with messages of support. |
