Andre' our 8th Black Belt 7th MARCH 2010

Congratulations to Andre' Santander on Grading to Shodan in Bujutsu. Andre' graded in front of his panel; Shihan Holmes 8th Dan, Shihan Ficnch 6th Dan & Sensei Cook 2nd Dan of the AWA on the 7th March 2010. A big thank you to Shihan Finch for the use of his Dojo and uke's Greg Walsh & Chris Brown. Andre is Eastern England Bujutsu Associations eighth Black Belt, since forming five years ago. As well as his Black Belt in Bujutsu he also holds a Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do and is an accomplished teacher of Muay Thai. He will be teaching Bujutsu weekly, as well as the clubs Muay Thai class, details to follow. |

Eastern England Bujutsu Association has just held it's 4th Annual Multi Arts Course at Attleborough Sports Hall. The day was attended by over 40 martial artists from the East of England. Steve Cook would like to pass on his thanks to all who attended for making it a great day. EEBA has just held its Black Belt gradings. Congratulations to Victoria Alexander, Greg Walsh, Kym Taylor, Bryan Greaves & Nick Painter on grading to Shodan in Bujutsu. Their grading Panel from the AWA was; Shihan Malcolm Holmes 8th Dan Ju Jitsu, Shihan Craig Finch 6th Dan Karate, Sensei Pauline Holmes 3rd Dan Ju Jitsu and Sensei Steve Cook 2nd Dan Bujutsu. A big thank you to all who turned out to support their fellow class mates. EEBA is proud to have produced seven Black Belts since forming in 2005. |
International Ju Jitsu Course & Championships - 9th May 2009

We have just returned from the 3rd International Ju Jitsu Course & Championships hosted by Sensei Ian Arbon. A great time was had by all with several entries made by the club in the groundfighting catergory. Congratulations go to: Greg Walsh Silver Medal Middleweights and Dave Booth Bronze Medal Lightweights. This takes our club medals to two Bronze and one silver in groundfighting in this event. Thanks to all the instructors on the day and to all the Wakarishin guy's for making us all so welcome. |
Sifu Yap Leong

Sensei Steve has just returned from a visit to London and took the opportunity to visit his first martial arts instructor, Sifu Yap Leong. Sifu Yap Leong was a disciple of the late legendary Grandmaster Chee Kim Thong from Fujian, China. Sifu Yap teaches Shaloin Fist and Five Ancestor Fist styles of Kung Fu in London. Steve visited Sifu Yap at his shop the Shaolin Way in Chinatown and chatted about the good old days. |
